I'm Ivy. I've been ghostwriting for a while and also working away submitting stories under other pen names to romance and other presses (no bites there as of yet). Soon, I'll be working with my girlfriend and other cowriters to bring paranormal romance and urban fantasy novellas primarily featuring queer women leads into the Kindle Unlimited world and self publishing this summer. Since those plans just got started rolling, I realized I needed social media under this current pen name to go along with it.
Here on this blog, you'll find a few things each week, including reviews of movies (including LGBT movie offerings on Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime and the latest in horror and genre films in theaters) on Saturdays, writing thoughts and advice on Wednesdays, and TV chatter or book recommendations on Fridays. Personally, I subscribe to a "Thumper" principle with books --- if I can't say only nice things, then I just never mention them at all. If I'm telling you about a book to read, then it's definitely one I've thoroughly enjoyed.
Today, I was fortunate enough to interview with the Romance Romp hosted by Kini Allen of The Frederick News Post. We talked about everything from my start in ghostwriting (and how others can also) to fanfiction to diversity in romance fiction and in genre entertainment. That interview should be out soon, and I'll link here when it is.
Anyway, I hope you stick around and enjoy everything. I'll be teasing more about my books as I go. If you haven't guessed, the first things I'll be working on will involve shifters in one series and vampires in another. Never hurts to go back to some classic beasties! The first official post will be up on Wednesday with a little bit about writing groups and my experience in one.
